For the first time in over seven centuries, a grand Sri Vidyaranya Janmabhoomi Adhisthanam works will be starting at the sacred birth city of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Vidyaranya Swami—Ekashilanagaram (Orugallu / Warangal, Telangana).
A Two-Decade Quest of Historical & Spiritual Discovery
Sri Vidyaranya Mahaswamiji was the spiritual powerhouse who guided the establishment of the Vijayanagara Empire, authored commentaries (Bhashyas) for all four Vedas, and protected Dharma during a critical era.
Following 20 years of rigorous historical research initiated in 2006, Poojya Sri Govindananda Saraswati Swamiji identified the exact historical locations associated with Sri Vidyaranya’s early life in Warangal:
The original Agraharams where Sri Vidyaranya lived with his parents and two brothers.
The holy sites of his early householder life and deep Tapasya before moving to Hampi following the fall of the Kakatiya Dynasty.

Marking 10 years of research, Brahmaleena Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Sri Swaroopananda Saraswati Ji visited Warangal and personally performed the sacred Shila Poojan.
